You should try watch these shows in about 5 years when they reach Africa.

In case my life is remotely interesting

Well, whislt you are out on the international jaunt between NYC and Chicago, I am in Durban, which is rife with potholes- and other third world delights.

So I have sought refuge in a place with 2 sisters as co-dependant as we are. Ah Sprigs. Never ceases to souffle the most perfect of omlettes and ravage me of surplus funds.

And to indulge a shallow thirst, I lap up an online portion of Who What Wear! The benifit of which, I cannot enjoy, seeing as it's an online magazine that gives you a direct link to buy all of the dangling carrots they feature. Like this week, the outfit Keira Knightly wore. You can just buy it, online... or one very similar... Oh well, I pretend I ordered them all and I'm just waiting for them in the mail. I also act like I'm above it and where I lack in cash, I make up for in imagination; "I can think of my OWN outfits, thank you very much." Yesterday I overcompensated and found myself looking akin to an 80's bag lady with a baseball-player flair, but hey, at least no-one else is doing it.

Last night

We had a fun time down at the Rodant. Ate tempura green-beans, drank "dark and stormy's" , paid for nothing and probably hung out with a small time drug dealer/? We can't be sure but he has two phones and a funny hat...

DAY 4

ate lunch at The Grey Dog,


and continued to wonder around soho.

Found the most amazing perfume shop called The Bond no.9 where they make different scents for every neighbourhood in New York City.

DAY 3

On sunday evening I allowed myself to be dragged, by Monique, to lesbian party called "stiletto". It was at the Cabanas Bar at The Maritime Hotel. It was actually really nice, and nice not to be accosted by creepy men all night (just ladies) haha.



Afterwards we caught some food at Cafeteria. It's really nice 24hr diner/afterparty. Monique insisted that we go because "Lindsey Lohan goes here when she's in town.." And so we went, the food was awesome. I had a crispy calamari salad, and Monique had mac&cheese because "they're like known for their mac&cheese..."

DAY 2

I mostly walked around the West Village/Chelsea. It's probably my favourite area in NY so far. I especially liked "The Highline"- an old elevated railway that's been converted into a park/public walk way.
